Dungannon Golf Club was founded in 1890 and is one of the original founder clubs of the Golfing Union of Ireland. The club is proud to boast Darren Clarke as its most famous and successful former member. Now an honorary life member, Clarke officially opened the new Clubhouse in June 2000. As well as the many trophies won and blazers worn by the Ryder Cup Star, the course is home to the ‘Darren Clarke’ ninth hole, which is the signature hole. Wining his first PGA tournament in 1993, The Belgian Open, Darren has gone on to win 15 tournaments which includes wining the Anderson Consulting WGC, beating Tiger woods.
